Applying for internships

Hey how do I apply for internships through NUS? I heard must attend some kind of workshop or something first before they accept you?? If not, how did you all apply for internships? pls help thx!

Do you mean Career Centre's resume writing workshop? Yes, for some 6 month internships or work placements during term time, you might need to prove that you've attended the workshop before you can apply. You can usually prove your attendance either by presenting the receipt you'll get when you pay for the workshop or by getting an email from Career Centre to certify that you've attended. (:

But if you're talking about 3 month summer internships, you don't have to go through all that. Just go to the NUS job portal, check out what internships are available and apply! You can either apply through the portal itself or to the company directly. Your employer will usually be the one who liaises with NUS - the Career Centre will call them up and proactively email you and everything, so you don't really have to worry about all that. Just submit your resume and you're good to go!

hi, im not sure how science students should apply for internships. are there any difference between internships and attachments?

also, i heard that internships are counted as modules too, in the sense that MCs will be given as well. is that true as well?
